Q: Hello, I am new Realtor in California and was looking for a little guidance. I have a client who would like to occupy a unit. I need to prepare a lease agreement and am unsure of what contracts I need from zipForm. Please help!

A: You need to check with your managing broker about this. If you prepare a lease agreement, you could be practicing law. Unless California has a real estate commission approved form for leases, you might be treading on thin ice. You should recommend that your client consult with an attorney about preparing a lease.
