The cream of the county's chefs, restauranteurs, foodies and foodmakers met in Stock this week for the glittering Essex Chronicle Food and Drink Awards 2012.
After rigorous nomination and judging the winners were announced - with Parsons of Waltham Abbey taking best restaurant and Aaron Skerritt of Le Talbooth, Dedham, named chef of the year.
